The Rasmussen’s go camping – trailer style!!!
I posted the pictures of us camping a few weeks ago, sadly that camper wasn’t ours, it was my friends. Ours was the big tent in the background. Don’t get me wrong, the 4 room tent was cool and served it’s purpose, but nothing beats not having to pack everything up each time and taking down and putting back up our tent.
So, we bought a trailer! Each time I post pictures of it, they disappear, so I’ll try again tomorrow!!
I’m soo excited!! We get to pick it up Saturday!! Now the funnest part: shopping to stock it up!!!
My new baby!!
While I was down visiting my sister the end of June, my hubby thought he would make his own supper. He took my slow cooker and through ribs in it at 4am, when he gets up to go to work. Not a good idea. He doesn’t get home till at least 7pm! Sooo, my slow cooker was destroyed. Luckily my house didn’t burn down.
He went and bought me a new one and let me tell you – it is the KING of slow cookers. Waay on the expensive side, but mongo worth it!!
Ooooh, shiny!!
You can set the timer and walk away! See the auto button? If you click that, you can scroll through chicken, beef, fish, pork and it will cook it to the perfect temp for you. See the little wire up there? There’s a probe on the end of it you jab into your meat and it records the temp. When the prefect temp. has been reached, the GENIOUS slow cooker goes into Warm mode!
Hubby, is NOT allowed to touch this baby!!
Maybe I’m not ‘with it’…but does anyone else share the same views??
Ok, for the past few weeks this is what I have been hearing about:
-Michael Jackson
-Harry Potter
For starters, I don’t recall very many people that I know that actually liked him or his music. (Hmmm, did anyone remember him dangling his baby out a balcony??) And now he’s a saint and the greatest musician ever? I don’t think so. It’s sad he died, but don’t make him out to be something he wasn’t.
2. I despise Harry Potter. I have no interest in the witch and warlock teen thing. I really don’t get what the hype is about.
There. There’s my rant for the day!
Laziness
So, I have been quite lazy the last little while (ok, the last few months) and my house is starting to show it. Everything ‘looks’ clean and tidy, but start opening doors and drawers….scary!! Today I cleaned out all my kitchen cupboards and oiled the cupboard doors. That’s a start, right?
Camping Pics
Well, we are back from camping, the kids were actually pretty good! The first night was hell with trying to get them all to sleep, but after that, they slept ok! Shelbie LOVED her ‘campout’ and Logan’s favorite part was the marshmallows!!

So, we are finally going camping!! I wanted to wait and hold out for a new trailer, but that’s not in the cards right now. I just went a bought a four room tent!! Big enough for all of us!! We’re just going across the lake to the campground there as a trial run, but I am still so excited!! Be prepared for plenty of pictures later on in the week!!!

While we were down in Lethbridge area, we had the chance to get the kids’ pictures done by Mandy Baker. She went to school with my sister and is now a photographer (and mommy to an adorable baby boy Zach – you need to see his head of hair!!) She did an amazing job, despite the fact that Miss Morgan didn’t want anything to do with pictures and was whiny the whole time!!
Super fun week!
Last week I made the trek down to Coaldale to stay with my sister and see some family and friends. It was tiring and alot of driving involved (why can’t everyone live in the same town??!!) but we had a blast!!
I finally got to see my friend Liz and her two adorable kiddies!
Canada Day was also pretty fun. Mom and Dad had a BBQ and the kids played on the tramp and took turns hitting the pinata. I wish we had time to see everyone, but I loved spending time with everyone we did see!

I know I said that I would post some pictures of Shelbie’s pre-k grad and I haven’t yet, soooo here they are!!
BTW, they don’t have a ‘traditional’ pre-k gard here, they have a BBQ at the provincial park and have fun there!
